Left Handed Instruments |
Some surgical instruments just do not work for the left handed. Scissors that are designed for right handed people, for example, pose two challenges when they are used by a left handed person. The blade that is on top when cuts are made is closer to the surgeon (it is on the inside) then the blade below and will block his or her vision of the cutting line making it harder to make the right cut. The natural tension from the hand works the other way around, too, separating the blades instead of pushing them together for an easy and clean cut. The surgical instruments in this section are designed for left handed people and will work much better for them than standard surgical tools. |
