Ceramic coated scissors combine the best material and design properties ensuring unsurpassed durability and ease of cutting. The tungsten carbide blades of these scissors are coated with a thin layer of ceramic. They also have a serrated blade like SureCut scissors. These scissors will stay sharp over 6 times longer than regular scissors.

The ceramic coating lends incredible hardness to the material. The hard surface produces a very sharp cutting edge on one side while  the serrations on the other side grip the tissue to prevent slipping. These two properties make cutting with these scissors very easy.

The tips of ceramic coated scissors are not as sharp as regular scissors. This is done intentionally during manufacturing in order to prevent the chipping of the ceramic coating from the tips.

We do not recommend cutting hard material like bones with ceramic coated scissors. Despite their hardness, the fine sharp edges of these scissors may get damaged by hard material.
